Fave Online Shopping Boutiques!!

Like so many people my age, I love my online shopping. I think it's great how much more variety is available, particularly when you live in a regional city like I do where the shopping is pretty lacking at the best of times.

Online shopping is also a good choice if you're looking to update your wardrobe, but are limited by a budget. Most of the time these online boutiques don't have to pay for the same overheads as a store at the mall would, meaning that items can be solder at a lesser price - which I think is a pretty big bonus.

In this blog I'll be listing a few sites I have personally used, as well as a couple I'm hoping to buy from when I'm not so poor (thanks, uni).

Disclaimer: Most of these shops are based in Australia, so they may not ship internationally yet**

Over the last few months Australian boutiques have been popping up all over Instagram and Facebook, with the most recognisable and successful being Beginning Boutique. I first discovered this company last year and fell in love. Their prices were reasonable for the quality they were selling, the shipping was fast and customer service was a delight.

It's been a while since I last purchased from them however, as lately I have not been too impressed. Currently they are stocking rather alternative items that are quite on-trend, but won't be wearable once the trend is over. To be honest, I'm quite disappointed about that as this company was one of my favourites, but if you're the kind of person who can spend "big" money on statement items I would highly recommend this site to you.

MissGuided is a site that I've known about for a while, but only recently purchased from and I'm really glad that I took a chance on this one because it paid off. Although they are not an Australian company, they have an Australia-specific online store and currently offer free standard shipping, just because they can (gotta love that free shipping though)!

All their items are really up to date, but make great staples for any wardrobe without costing an arm and a leg. One thing I love about sites that are based outside of Australia is that it's possible to pick up inexpensive, fashionable items during end of season sales. As long as you're willing to wait a few weeks for your items to come from the UK, this company is seriously worth looking at. 10/10 would recommend ;)

Pop Cherry is another Australian boutique that has become popular this year. They generally stock party dresses and playsuits, which is why I'm yet to purchase from them as it's winter in Australia right now. Pop Cherry has been recommended to me by a few of my friends, as they love the current items and the low cost - which is a pretty big drawing card for poor university students, such as myself.

When summer rolls around I'm sure I'll be buying my going out essentials from this company, so keep your eyes peeled for an update on this one...

Lucy in the Sky is another site that I've known about for a while, but am yet to buy from. The main reason I have not yet bought from them is that most of their items are rather out-there party dresses that are some-what up-market, whereas I'm the kind of person that likes to try on an expensive item before I buy it. Despite this, I will admit to browsing this store regularly as they do have lots of beautiful items for sale.

Although I only listed a handful of online boutiques, I have mentioned sites that are trusted by myself or people close to me. It is supremely important to ensure that a site is trustworthy before providing them with your bank details, as every dollar you earn is special and often a representation of your hard work. If you are not sure about a site, a quick Google check will usually take you to a review someone has made, just like this one, letting you know how trustworthy this company is. More importantly though, listen to your gut. If you read a positive review on a website but still don't feel comfortable with giving them your details - don't.

Happy online shopping, everyone!
